If you’ve never ordered cannabis delivery in New Jersey, the process is simpler than most people expect — but there are a few rules baked into it that catch first-timers off guard. Here’s exactly what happens from the moment you open a menu to the moment a TerpTaxi driver hands you the bag.
Step one: pick your town, not just a product
Every TerpTaxi order starts with where you are. Each town page — for example Jersey City, Newark, or Rahway — shows the licensed partner dispensary that fills local orders, the typical delivery window, and the minimum. That matters because the menu you browse is that dispensary’s live menu, and your driver picks up from that store.
Step two: the minimum and the hours
Delivery orders carry a $75 minimum everywhere we deliver, with one exception: Hoboken, where Hudsonica fills orders with no minimum at all. Drivers run every day from 9 AM to 10 PM. Order inside that window and it comes the same day; order after 10 PM and the earliest it can arrive is the next morning.
Step three: how fast it actually shows up
We publish real delivery windows rather than a vague "fast." In towns with a partner dispensary in town — Hoboken, Rahway, Maplewood, Mount Holly, Hackettstown — most orders land in 25–40 minutes. Step four: what happens at the door
New Jersey rules shape the handoff. Cannabis can only be delivered to a residential address — not a hotel, office, park, or car — and the driver checks a valid photo ID in person before anything changes hands. You must be 21 or older, the order can never be left unattended, and delivery can’t go to federal land. Have your ID out before the doorbell rings and the whole exchange takes seconds.
Step five: paying and staying discreet
Card and cash are both accepted at delivery, and the packaging is plain. Drivers are the ones who make TerpTaxi work: the vehicle is unmarked, the knock is ordinary, and nobody on your block learns anything.
