THC Delivery in NJ: What Can Legally Be Delivered, How Much You Can Order, and the 2026 Hemp Rules

Search for “THC delivery” in New Jersey and you get a confusing mix of results: licensed dispensaries, smoke shops, “hemp THC” websites that ship anywhere, and gifting services that were never legal. This guide sorts out what THC actually means on a New Jersey menu, which THC products a licensed delivery service can bring to your door, how much you can buy in one order, and how the 2026 hemp rules changed what is legal to sell. It is written for adults 21 and over who want a straight answer before they order.

What “THC” Means When You Order Cannabis Delivery in NJ

THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the main intoxicating compound in cannabis. On a licensed New Jersey menu you will see it expressed two ways. Flower, pre-rolls, vapes and concentrates list THC as a percentage of weight, so a 24% flower has roughly 240 mg of THC per gram. Edibles, drinks and tinctures list THC in milligrams per serving and per package, because those products are made to a measured dose. New Jersey’s adult-use rules cap ingestible products at 100 mg per package, which is why a dispensary gummy pack is usually ten 10 mg pieces.

Every product sold through a licensed NJ dispensary is lab tested, and the label shows total THC along with the batch and test information. That testing is the practical difference between a dispensary product and an untested “THC” item from a gas station shelf.

THC Products You Can Get by Weed Delivery in New Jersey

A licensed delivery order can include any product category the dispensary stocks for adult use. In practice that means:

  • Flower — whole bud in eighths, quarters and larger, plus smaller “smalls” or shake options.
  • Pre-rolls — single joints and multi-packs, including infused pre-rolls that add concentrate for a higher THC percentage.
  • Vape cartridges and disposables — 510-thread carts and all-in-one pens; this is the category people usually mean when they search “THC cartridge delivery.”
  • Concentrates — wax, shatter, live resin, rosin and similar. Our concentrates delivery guide explains the differences.
  • Edibles and drinks — gummies, chocolates, beverages and more. If timing matters, read how long edibles take to kick in.
  • Tinctures — measured drops taken under the tongue; see how tinctures differ from edibles.

TerpTaxi does not stock products itself. Each order is filled by a licensed partner dispensary in or near your town, then delivered by a TerpTaxi driver to a residential address. Which partner fills your order depends on where you live; the dispensaries that deliver in NJ post lists them by town.

How Much THC Can You Buy in One Pot Delivery Order?

New Jersey sets a per-transaction limit for adult-use purchases, and it applies to delivery the same way it applies to a walk-in sale. The Cannabis Regulatory Commission lists the limits as: 28.35 grams (1 ounce) of dried flower, 4 grams of solid concentrate or resin, 4 grams of vaporized formulation (oil), or 1,000 mg of ingestible products, which works out to ten 100 mg packages. Mixed orders scale proportionally, for example half an ounce of flower plus 2 grams of concentrate, or five gummy packages plus half an ounce of flower. The possession limit for adults is 6 ounces.

For edibles, look at milligrams per piece, not just per package, and start low if you are new to a product. Our guide to ordering edibles by delivery goes deeper on reading NJ labels.

Hemp THC, Delta-8 and the 2026 New Jersey Rule Change

For a few years, products labeled “hemp-derived THC” or delta-8 were sold in New Jersey convenience stores and shipped in from out of state with no age check and no state testing. New Jersey tried to regulate those products in September 2024 (P.L. 2024, c. 73), but a federal court in Loki Brands LLC v. Platkin blocked most of that law before it took effect, and the CRC confirmed in November 2024 that it could not enforce the regulatory provisions. The one rule that stayed in force throughout: no THC product of any kind may be sold or given to anyone under 21.

The state took a second pass with Senate Bill 4509, signed January 12, 2026 and effective January 13, 2026. Under the new law, hemp may not exceed 0.3% total THC (counting delta-8, delta-10, THCA and similar cannabinoids), and a hemp consumer product may not exceed 0.4 mg of total THC per container. Anything above those limits is treated as cannabis and can only be sold by a business holding a state cannabis license under the CRC. Retailers were given until April 13, 2026 to sell off existing inventory, and intoxicating hemp beverages may continue to be sold at licensed liquor stores until November 13, 2026. Federal law is moving the same way, with a matching 0.4 mg per-container cap taking effect November 13, 2026.

What that means for a New Jersey shopper in plain terms: if a product contains a meaningful amount of THC, the legal place to buy it is a licensed dispensary, and the legal way to have it delivered is a service working with licensed dispensaries. A website offering to mail “THC” gummies to New Jersey with no ID check is not operating under state rules. The same goes for “gifting” services, which we cover in weed gifting services vs. licensed delivery.

How Licensed THC Delivery Actually Works at the Door

New Jersey delivery rules are strict on purpose. Under the CRC’s delivery regulations, orders go to a residential address only: no hotels, offices, parks, campus housing, or anywhere on federal land. The driver checks a government-issued photo ID in person before handing anything over, and an order can never be left unattended on a porch or with a neighbor. If the person who ordered is not there with ID, the order goes back to the dispensary.

TerpTaxi delivers every day from 9 AM to 10 PM. Most delivery-area pages carry a $75 minimum order; Hoboken is the exception, with no minimum. Typical windows depend on how close the fulfilling dispensary is to you: in Jersey City most orders arrive in 35 to 50 minutes, towns with an in-town partner (Hoboken, Rahway, Maplewood, Mount Holly, Hackettstown) run about 25 to 40 minutes, and Newark runs 40 to 60. Our same-day delivery guide explains what moves a window up or down.

THC Delivery in NJ: Quick Answers

As of January 13, 2026, hemp products over 0.4 mg total THC per container (including delta-8) are regulated as cannabis in New Jersey and require a state cannabis license to sell. Unlicensed inventory had to be cleared by April 13, 2026.
